Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA. He began his career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in their top rated management training program, working his way to Branch Rental Manager and eventually into the Regional Loss Control Manager position for the Greater Los Angeles area. During that time, Steve built an expertise in branch operations, marketing, loss control, and risk management in addition to gaining extensive knowledge of collection and legal processes. Steve left Enterprise to become the Vice-President of Operations for a Los Angeles-based commercial collection agency, generating a 350% increase in revenue over a four-year period.
Steve then began his career with Caine & Weiner in 2002 at the corporate office, overseeing the sales operation before taking over operational responsibility for the collection team. As Vice President of Operations Services for several years, Steve had direct oversight of the Commercial and BPO/Outsourcing divisions. In his current role as Vice President of Compliance and Quality Assurance, Steve is responsible for oversight of key internal processes to help ensure that Caine & Weiner is exceeding all client expectations both for quality of service and performance results. In 2016, Steve received his Credit and Collections Compliance Officer (CCCO) designation through ACA International – earned through a combination of in-person training classes and subject-specific examinations covering a wide range of collection industry compliance and security practices.
